Goal: Maintain female guest shower list.

A volunteer from the community will ensure showers are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Volunteers will also keep track of guests who have signed up for showers and spray showers with sanitizer. 

Showers are run by volunteers and impact the morale of our shelter guests. We do not run showers if we do not have volunteers. 

There are two separate shifts for showers: 5pm-7pm and 7pm-9:15pm for both female and male showers. Male volunteers may sign up for male showers, and female volunteers may sign up for female showers.

Goal: Ensure the successful service of dinner for our Shelter Guests.

Volunteers from the community will prepare the kitchen for service, ensure food is served to Guests, and clean/close down kitchen for the night. May be asked to plate food, preform light cooking, serve food, maintain beverage table, interact with Guests, wipe down tables, sweep floor, wash dishes, and operate kitchen equipment.

Volunteers will be serving in a kitchen setting will be asked to wear a hairnet or bring a baseball cap/bandana to restrain hair. Volunteers should also wear closed-toed shoes.

We are seeking volunteers to assist with picking up donated food from retailers and transporting the donations to BES to be used at the Weekend Bagged Lunches and the Shelter. Volunteers must have reliable transportation, climb stairs, and be able to lift up to 30lbs waist high. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to transport donations.
