Assist in ripping up old carpet in the shelter dorm rooms to make way for freshly painted floors in time for next shelter season. Volunteers will be utilizing box cutters, lifting items 10-20lbs, pulling out nails in floorboards, and possibly sanding rough surfaces.
Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty and closed toed shoes. Water and snacks will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring a water bottle.
There is not onsite parking, but there is street parking nearby. Please take care to notice signage for street cleaning days.
