Help with cleaning shelter dorm rooms, bathrooms, showers, and the kitchen. A full top to bottom deep cleaning. Volunteers will be asked to sweep, vacuum, scrub, and mop floors. Volunteers will also be asked to wipe down surfaces and windows. Volunteers will be climbing stairs, using cleaning chemicals, crouching down, and lifting up to 25lbs.
Volunteers should bring a water bottle and comfortable clothing that can get dirty. Water and snacks will be provided.
The shelter address is 75 E. Market Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. BES rents space from Christ Church UCC with takes up the whole block, with our entrance on Walnut Street of the building.
There is no on-site parking, but street parking nearby. Volunteers should be mindful of street signs posted with parking limits.
