Join BES in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our Shelter Guests next season. Ensuring the space our shelter guests will be using is clean and easy to navigate will help them feel welcomed. Our Shelter Season starts November 15th and will run until April 30th; your help will assist BES in providing a much-needed service to our Street Neighbors.
Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes and clothing that is able to get dirty. Snacks, water and coffee will be provided throughout the day, but volunteers should still bring a water bottle.
Volunteers may be asked to do general "handy" work, such as put-up frames, take apart or put together furniture, or operate small hand tools.
BES is located at 75 E. Market Street Bethlehem, PA 18018. Please use the Walnut Street door. There will be a sign posted "Welcome BES Volunteers". If the door is locked, please ring the black doorbell for entrance. The building does not have parking but there is free street parking nearby for 2 hours at a time per parking zone. There is also a parking garage on 33 W Walnut Street for $1 per hour. Please do not park at James Funeral Home next door to BES, your car may be towed.
