Weekend Bagged Lunch Program

BES recognizes food insecurity has many faces and can affect many folks. Through the efforts of the community, donations, and volunteers, BES is able to offer free bagged lunches every Saturday & Sunday to anyone needing a lunch that day. 

Volunteers from organizations, churches, and the community create and provide the lunches to serve our Street Neighbors and other Community Neighbors in need.  

We are looking for groups to sign up to "Donate & Deliver" approximately 80 bagged lunches to be distributed.  Drop off is at the Gathering Place doors at Christ UCC Church between 11:30-11:45 AM on the day of service.  A general suggestion of what may be included in lunches is below but feel free to prepare as you would like!

Suggested bagged lunch contents:

• 2 sandwiches (some guests don't eat pork)
• mayo/mustard packet
• napkin
• bag of chips or crackers
• protein bar 
• fresh fruit or fruit cup (Soft fruit as many have dental issues)

We are also looking for about 4 volunteers to help with "Distribution" of these lunches from 11:45AM-1 PM. Volunteers must be at least 14 years or older with Legal Guardian present at all times.
