From the ceiling to the floor, volunteers will help prepare the winter emergency shelter for the next shelter season, starting Nov 1st. Volunteers will be cleaning windows and walls, sanitizing beds, and sweeping and mopping floors in the shelter dorm rooms.
Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes, and clothing that can get dirty. While snacks and water will be provided, volunteers are encouraged to bring a water bottle. There is street parking nearby, volunteers should take notice of parking times and street cleaning days. Preregistration on BES volunteer site is required; waiver and orientation are included in registration process.
